So far I've found no corroborating evidence for this date, what little information is added here comes from the work of Julian Gill. It could be that this is a mistaken entry based on the (equally mistaken or possibly canceled) date 87-11-01 mentioned in The Hard Report

First show in support of Alice's Live In The Flesh tour and also the premiere of new drummer Jamie Oldaker. A review in the Detroit Free Press (87-10-30 p. C-5) didn't mention either opening act. Attendance figure taken from the review.

According to the Detroit Free Press (87-10-30, p. D-14) members of Whitesnake—and Coverdale's fiancee Tawny Kitaen—were in attendance. Unfortunately Coverdale himself was unable to attend as he was apparently stuck in Canada due to visa problems.

Setlist courtsey tolvis. Also archived on partial video.

Terry Oosterhart's review didn't say much about the Comet but what there was was favorable.

Setlist courtsey tolvis comes from a video. A tour date rundown in The Hard Report mentioned a second show at Joe Lewis Arena [sic.] on November 1 but there are no indications in the Detroit newspapers that this was even considered.

What did happen on November 1 was that members of "Alice Cooper's band, Tesla, Def Leppard, Faster Pussycat and Ace Frehley" were all hanging out backstage at the Whitesnake show at Cobo Arena. (The Hard Report 87-11-06, p. 37)

Attendance numbers from Billboard (87-11-21, p. 24). The show was noted as a sellout.
