Early 1984

(Possibly late 1983) Ace meets Richie Scarlet through Eddie Solan who produced Richie's first solo album. They hit it off and Richie is invited to join the rest. Keyboard player Arthur Stead, who Regan had worked with when playing for Peter Frampton, then joins the quartet.

Spring

Recording begins at Ace in the Hole Studio under the eye of Chris Kimsey.

March

Ace pleads guilty to the charges of driving while intoxicated in November.

May

Judge S. Barrett Hickman sentences Ace to five years probation, a $500 fine, and suspends his license for another six months. Since this was Ace's second arrest in less than a year he is charged with a felony meaning he "could face up to four years in jail if he violates probation". Outside the courthouse Ace tells assembled reporters that he has a new band, Frehley's Comet, "a group of five that plays what he calls 'space metal', which he called 'heavy metal, just a little more spaced out'".

June

On June 12 a six-song demo is mastered at Sterling Sound. It contains the songs Back Into My Arms Again, Breakout, I Got The Touch, I Will Survive, I'm An Animal, and We Got Your Rock.

Summer/Fall

George Sewitt agrees to manage Ace.

November

Invitation-only industry showcase at SIR on November 30. Regular fans were also invited to create ambience.
