The Comet name was nowhere to be seen in the lead-up to the show, every mention was of Ace Frehley. Lynn Hulsey's review—which at least called the band Ace Frehley's Comet—had nothing positive to say about the opening acts.
I've seen some accounts which list a show on the day before as well but there is nothing to support that in the newspapers and it's not in list of dates in The Hard Report.

Setlist courtsey tolvis comes from a video recording of the show. Once again the Comet name was mostly ignored in the press, and on the ad, in favor of Ace's name.
The review by Jill Warren mentioned that the attendance, which has to be considered modest since Market Square Arena had a capacity of roughly 16,000 for sporting events, was actually one of the higher ones of the tour thus far.

Setlist comes from an audio recording courtsey tolvis. The absolutely scathing review by Eric Schafer really had nothing good to say about any of the bands. Well, except for drummer Jamie Oldaker.

Not technically canceled since the promotor appears to have simply forgotten to book the venue. The date was listed in the East Coast Rocker (see below) and in the tour date rundown in The Hard Report so the planning was all done except for that one little detail.

Faster Pussycat was left out of the calendar entry for the show in the Cardinal Points of Plattsburgh, NY (87-11-05, p. 10) but were mentioned in Orla Swift's somewhat positive review. Partial setlist culled from titles mentioned in the review.
This would turn out to be Frehley's Comet's last show on this tour. As seen below, illness was cited as the reason for a few of the shows but ultimately the decision came down to money, something that The Hard Report wrote about as early as the week after: "For some strange reason Ace Frehley has pulled
out of the Alice Cooper tour. Details on this
development are sketchy. What we were able to find
out is that money had something to do with the
decision. It Is alleged that Ace was not making
enough to pay his crew." (The Hard Report 87-11-20, p. 30)
Billboard also reported on the issue early on: "Frehley's Comet, headed by former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley,
has departed the Alice Cooper
tour some two months prematurely,
citing "other commitments" as
the reason, according to a spokesman
for the band. Sources say,
however, that the road trek just
wasn't working out economically
for the group. One of the problems
is Cooper's massive stage production,
which is apparently too big to
fit into smaller halls. As a result,
some dates are being booked in venues much larger than the tour can
draw. Faster Pussycat will remain
on the bill." (Billboard 87-11-28, p. 35)

The cancellation of the remainder of the tour by Frehley's Comet was never really mentioned in the local press outlets. Most of the time the band was still featured in ads, on tickes (obviously), and in the calendar entries for the various shows. This continued at least as far as mid-December.
As seen below, some news outlets originally noted that this show was slated for November 17. Since the Plain Dealer and the Akron Journal both got it right from the start, The Tribune was probbably just the victim of a simple typo.
Jane Scott's review for this show simply mentions that "second-opener Ace Frehley and the Comets didn't show Saturday night".

Roger Catlin's review for the Hartford Courant only mentioned that "the evening was even more of a letdown because the [sic.] absence of the advertised opening act, Ace Frehley's Comet". (Hartford Courant of Hartford, CT 87-11-19, p. 35) A very late review in the Norwalk News Trader only wrote that "Ace Frehley, ex-Kiss guitarist, cancelled out at the last minute". (Norwalk News Trader of Norwalk, CT 88-01-14, p. 25)

John Andrew Prime's review of the show —from which the attendance figure is taken—only noted that "the second act, former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley and his band named Comet, did not show". (The Times 87-11-30, p. 30)
Phil Martin's review in the Shreveport Journal (87-11-30, p. C-1) failed to note the lack of a second opener altogether.

As seen below this show was a really slow seller and the final numbers wereas described by Vincent Creel in his review, "a paltry gathering". The review simply noted that "one of the opening acts, Frehley's Comets, canceled". (The Sun-Herald of Biloxi, MS 87-12-01, p. C.3)
