Apart from the date being listed on the tour t-shirts of both Frehley's Comet and Y&T, I've found nothing. The name of the venue comes from Julian Gill's work.

Setlist courtsey tolvis. Recorded for a future live album which became Live + 1. Uncut soundboard recording was released as the only silver-pressed Frehley's Comet bootleg Real Live One Chicago 1987.
The temporary return of Anton Fig to the lineup meant that audiences were treated to a drum solo during Breakout. Faster Pussycat is mentioned as the second opener in the Chicago Tribune but in an interview with The Hard Report (87-08-21, p. 27) Vito Bratta said that "we start again with Ace Frehley on September 4th, and that ends up at the Beacon Theater in New York on September 12."

All that we know comes from the tour t-shirt and the handbill below. The Val Du Lakes Amphitheatre had re-opened as a live venue in 1987 and, with a capacity of 15,000-17,000 depending on which source you read, it was a regular summer tour stop for national tours in the coming years. In 1987 Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses opened the season and in 1989 Metallica played there.
The concert listings in Circus had this date listed as Charlevoix Castle—a venue further north that hosted shows by the likes of Huey Lewis and the News and Tine Turnes that summer—but there's nothing to suggest Frehley's Comet or Y&T played there at any time this year.

Setlist comes from a video recording. The second opening act is a bit of a mystery here. The mentions in the newspapers all had Faster Pussycat as the opener—one in an interview with Y&T frontman Dave Meniketti that was published on the day of the show—but the ads and the ticket (as seen below) both had White Lion. In fact, ads as early as August 23 had White Lion as the opener and, according to a calendar entry in the Baltimore Sun, Faster Pussycat was supposed to be at Hammerjacks on September 6.

According to the Y&T Contagious tour t-shirt they were scheduled to be in Washington, DC, on this date—which was also listed in the Circus tour listings—and it's unclear why Y&T and Frehley's Comet's paths would diverge briefly mid-tour. As seen below The Plain Dealer had this show listed differently on different pages of the paper.
This date is not listed on the Frehley's Comet tour t-shirt for this period.

Interestingly enough, when it was first mentioned in the Poughkeepsie Journal it was as an Ace Frehley show (see below)—no mention of Y&T.
According to Edward who worked security at this show "the crowd knocked down the security barrier and [the] show was almost cancelled, a "fan" who got too close to the stage, grabbed Ace by his boot and I had to race to the center and bear hug Ace just before he was going to fall into the crowd". The venue comes from the work of Julian Gill, I've found nothing to corroborate or disprove that.
Setlist courtsey tolvis. Before Rocket ride Ace says: "I would like to dedicate this song to the guy I wrote it with. His name is Sean Delaney
and he's standing right down there in the pit."

Both the Union-News (87-08-17 p. 19) and the Hartford Courant (below) mentioned Faster Pussycat as the opening act but, as seen below, the day before the show White Lion was listed as the opener. The Civic Center ad only mentioned Y+T [sic.] and Ace Frehley's Comet.
Setlist courtsey tolvis. Tape cuts right after Ace counts in a song and although Stranger in a strange land is missing I assume it was played. The band had a fairly rigid setlist.

Setlist courtsey tolvis. Last night of this leg of the tour and Anton's last show with the band, he would be replaced by Jamie Oldaker. As usual, KISS Klassics's Bill DeMild was in attendance.
This is the only show that can be considered a co-headlining spot for Y&T and Frehleys Comet. Both the newspaper entries and the ad for the show have the bill listed as Ace Frehley's Comet/Y&T. Alas, the ticket has the usual order of the band. As for the opening act... Faster Pussycat was in the ad but White Lion was mentioned in newspaper entries.
The after-party at the Tunnel Club included members of Anthrax, Faster Pussycat, Overkill, Y&T and White Lion, not to mention one Mr. Paul Stanley (see photos below).

It's a little unclear whether or not Loudness was part of this show. Originally only Frehley's Comet was listed (as seen below). A week later both Loudness and White Lion was mentioned (The Orlando Sentinel 87-08-30, Calendar section p. 31), but a few days before the show only White Lion was noted as the opening act. (The Orlando Sentinel 87-09-20, Calendar section p. 8) Since White Lion was the only mentioned opening act for the canceled Pensacola show (see below) it's not unlikely that Loudness had left the tour.

This was a weird booking and no-show. The first mention of this show in the local Pensacola papers was on September 23 and then to mention that the show wouldn't be held at the Saenger Theatre as planned (see below). The board of directors who ran Saenger had tightened the rules about concerts in August of 1987 following a previous concert booked by the same promotor, Alfons Bach II, which had caused damage both to the seats of the venue and hidden damage to the plaster. Bach had requested a hold date for this Frehley´s Comet show but apparently the board had denied permission as early as September 18. (Pensacola News Journal of Pensacola, FL 87-09-23, p. A-1 and A-12)
Bach was still contractually obligated to pay Frehley's Comet a $5,500 deposit and these monies were to be handed over at the Sanger Theatre on the day of the show as per the signed contract. "After the check exchange, Bach says he and the band will go to the Seafood Festival in the Seville Square area which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m." (Pensacola News Journal of Pensacola, FL 87-09-25, p. A-1)
Alas, as the press clipping below details, neither the promotor nor the band showed up at the Saenger Theatre to the chagrin of at least two fans. Alex Kochan, the Comet's booking agent in New York, said "he did not know what the group did on its unexpected day off." (Orlando Sentinel of Orlando, FL 87-09-26, p. D-1)
